I just wanted to share a word of encouragement with you today. King David wrote this beautiful prayer as he talks to God through some difficult times. He says, “Keep me as the apple of your eye; hide me in the shadow of your wings” in Psalms 17:8 NIV.
Right before this verse David says “I call on you, my God, for you will answer me; turn your ear to me and hear my prayer,” in Psalms 17:6 NIV. David knew that he served a good God who not only listens, but also answers. Do you know that as you go through your difficult days, as you see the storm coming your way, that He is there with you?
Our God listens because we are the apple of His eye. He goes above and beyond to protect us, so much so that He hides us under the shadow of His wings.
As you talk to God today, make sure to give Him your afflictions, your pains and desires, because He listens and He answers. May God bless you and keep you today!
